Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics

  1. Cyber-bullying can be used to harm many people online.
  2. When someone is working on something on the computer, one should not close the document, or spam the keyboard, etc.
  3. If someone has an important file, personal or whatever, one should not mess with it such as change it or delete it.
  4. Plagiarism.  When students are doing research, they sometimes get lazy and copy down word for word of another person's work, which is wrong and cheating.
  5. You shouldn't say you saw something happened when it didn't.
  6. You shouldn't pirate movies off the internet instead of buying or renting them.
  7. Don't steal other people's ideas.
  8. One shouldn't disagree with another's opinion, and be respectful.
  9. Be careful when you work, proofread it, and be careful about using the computer in general.
  10. Use a computer the right way, and also in respect to your peers.
